- Just true, if new A1200+ should come with 030-40 but no fastmem,
- my fastmem equipped 020-14 will be lot faster in most cases!
-
- Don't cry for new chipsets, cry for fastmem on new A1200.
-
- The other thing is that when running asynchronous, like most
- turbos, you get suboptimal chipmem acess. somehow this doesn't
- disturb in writing to chipmem, most boards still do 7mb/sec,
- but AFIAK reading is slower, so performance might drop beyond
- a vanilla A1200.
-
- mhm if lots of new A1200 will be sold without fastmem, there
- will be no increment of power of the base machine like I hoped.
-
- Already 1mb would give you megaspeedup for most applications.
- I really wonder how AT will handle it.
-
- At least it's said to have SIMM sockets...

- \X/ ^--fastmem rules!
-
- just fastmem makes your standard A1200 dooming about 2 times faster!
